Lake Snowden/Logan report

Have been fishing Lake Logan and Lake Snowden for the past few days. Snowden has very limited good ice in the two bays near the park entrance. The bays have anywhere from 2-4" depending on where you're walking. Be very careful if you decide to make the venture. The lake had about 40% open water as of 1/6/09. Managed a 3# saugeye yesterday morning in 13 fow on a weed edge using minnows near the bottom. So far fishing has been slow on both lakes. Lake Logan was 95% "locked up" yesterday although it had about 30% open water only a couple of days ago. There was good ice around the peninsula parking lot between the boat ramp and the beach. All of the ice I checked in this area was a solid 2.75"-4.5".[img][/img]
