CJ Ice Fishin With Rogue

Well the ice was mostly deteriorating edges were terrible so we fished the docks in the marina. Second to the last one on the north side, gas dock, and courtesy dock. I had to use a blue size ten ice jig, similar to a teardrop to get anything to go and even then they wanted a jig then stop. I marked LOTS of fish but it was hard to get them to bite, I think they were mostly bluegills as the crappies were easy to get to bite it seemed. Had to keepers into rogues bucket until the ice storm came at 1030.

I'm going out tonight after work to see if the ice is gone...we've had heavy rain all day.

Any ice left? I smoked the crappies up north here today

Yep, Still have unsafe ice 1-2" in some areas. Alot of Open water on the Main Lake, I'm sure all this rain today will wipe out the rest!

Man, that sucks, 8 inches of snow headed our way

Suppose to be 47 Sunday...Dale and I are Clark Lake bound. Suppose to be 57 Monday...may try CJ...

Wow is it summer 3hrs away or what?!!?

Dale and I went to Clark Lake yesterday and it was a big Mud Puddle. I caught a 12" LM. Went to CJ and it's almost ice free on the main lake and should be totally ice free this week! Dale "iced fished" and caught a 8" Shad on a Lindy with trebles...Man, it has been pouring, thunder, and lightning, since 8-9 last night. All the local creeks etc are out and "ponds" are poppin' up everywhere!

I think we missed most of the rain but it will still be a while till it settles down~
